Hiking trails near Sant’Antimo

One of the best ways to discover Tuscany and admire its beautiful landscapes is through hiking. Sant’ Antimo and its surronding offer many trails:

• Trail from Sant’ Antimo to Montalcino: Moderate level of difficulty, 2 hours one way, 6.18 miles

This beautiful trail will take you up into the woods from the Abbey towards Montalcino. The trail is well marked – it goes to your right from the main pathway to the church, just before you turn left to go to the church. You can walk out along the trail for as long as you want, then walk back, or you can also walk all the way to Montalcino. All along the trail, you get lovely views of the church and the valley.
